Mitchi Collette won multiple awards during her seven years as a right guard and defensive end for the Toledo Troopers. She was awarded the Offensive Lineman and Defensive Player of the year six times. Her dedication to women’s professional football is ongoing; she currently serves as the WPFL (Women’s Professional Football League) Historian, and she has also attained the position as the first female head coach in the Women’s Football League. She currently owns and manages Toledo’s Women’s Football Team, the Toledo Reign.

Mitchi is the guardian of the Toledo Troopers’ trophy that was awarded to them at their induction into the Women’s Football Foundation Hall of Fame banquet in 2014. She loaned the item to the Local History Department for digitization and inclusion in the library’s 2016 Troopers’ exhibit.
