Beverly Severance

Beverly Severance played for the Toledo Troopers during their 1974 and 1975 seasons. Her number was 53, and her position was middle linebacker. The items that she loaned to the Local History and Genealogy Department for digitization include her portrait in uniform, a 1975 photograph with other Troopers members in an East Toledo Parade, a t-shirt, and a miniature football. What makes these items unique is that the group photograph is linked to two of her other items. The t-shirt she is wearing in the photograph is nearly identical to the scanned t-shirt, and the miniature souvenir football that was digitized is the same type of footballs that the players were throwing to the crowd.

The group photograph shows the Toledo Troopers Head Coach Bill Stout driving a convertible with five players seated in the back. The players include, from left to right, Pam Schwartz, Mitchi Collette, Sheila Browne, Beverly Severance, and Deb Parma.
